I’m Donna Yates and I have been working in the medical field for over 8 years. I have worked in hospitals in the United States and also for private clinics in Europe. My interest in patient care and nursing began when I was 12 years old, after I visited a relative in hospital. The doctors and nurses were helpful, sympathetic and left a lasting impression and since then I knew that I wanted to emulate them and help others too.

After graduating from university, I was fortunate enough to be employed by a local hospital which allowed me to gain some vital experience and helped to progress my career.

I created this site to help people with their questions on career progression in medical care, specifically phlebotomy training as this is one area that I am often asked a lot about as I gained my certification and worked as a phlebotomist in the United States and several years abroad.
